Just a thought:
I remember years ago listening to a Les Miles interview after he lost to Ole Miss in Oxford, and he lamented that the young men in his locker room "deserved better", and I thought "Well that's your problem chief." Thinking that you deserve something is the quickest way on Earth to lose it. Legions of sports fans rant and rave about stuff like they deserve it. Like they deserve great leadership or a great coach or great players when in fact they have done absolutely nothing to earn any of it. I totally understand that people spending thousands of dollars on tickets and investing in NIL and investing their emotional energies into a program feel that they deserve a return on their investment, but in the end, football like life isn't about what you deserve. It's about what you earn.
